Former cadet and Officer provides support

Mr Garry Hunt a former cadet and officer with Norfolk & Suffolk Wing ATC has become one of the Wings benefactors with a bursary. The money has been used to support the Wing’s continued involvement in the Nijmegen International Marches held every year in Holland.

Each year Norfolk & Suffolk Wing sends a team of cadets and staff to compete in the International 4 day, 100 mile marches. Training for this event starts in the preceding November and is designed to be progressive and to give the team the best build up towards the qualification march at RAF Cosford in April and the Nijmegen event itself in the July.

Mr Hunt took the time to meet the cadets and staff involved with the Nijmegen Marches for 2012 at one of the training sessions at Watton during December. He was presented with a Wing plaque and tie in appreciation of his support.

The team gave a presentation on the 2011 marches in which the Norfolk & Suffolk team successfully completed, gaining a team award. They thanked Mr Hunt for his continued support and invited him along to future training sessions.
