Change of Command for Norfolk and Suffolk Wing
After eight years as Officer Commanding and thirty eight within Norfolk and Suffolk Wing Air Training Corps, Wing Commander A J Hipperson relinquished command on 22 July 2010, to be replaced by Wing Commander David Miller.
Wing Commander Hipperson has led the Wing through a challenging and demanding period which has seen numerous changes to the Corps. His enthusiasm and drive to raise standards whilst introducing a strong professional and business like culture has resulted in the Wing raising their already high standards further; something for which Norfolk and Suffolk Wing is justifiably well known.
Wing Commander Hipperson kindly presented the Wing with a beautiful new gavel for Wing social events, and a new trophy to be awarded for the winners of the Annual Six a Side football competition.
Wing Commander Hipperson is to remain in the Corps, moving to work as a Regional Staff Officer for the Regional Commandant of Central and East Region, Group Captain Brett Morrell. In the pictures Wing Commander Hipperson is seen handing over to Wing Commander David Miller the ceremonial baton of office for Norfolk and Suffolk Wing. Wing Commander Miller is seen receiving the new sporting trophy, also a group photograph of the entire Wing Management Board in front of Norfolk and Suffolk Wing Head Quarters, Norwich.
