This year was not been a normal Remembrance Sunday for staff and cadets across Norfolk & Suffolk Wing. On the Saturday night before many of us would have been up watching the Festival of Remembrance whilst polishing our shoes, ready to get up the Sunday morning to join Veterans, serving personnel and hundreds of others on parades and services in our local towns and cities.
Instead, our dedicated volunteers and cadets marked Remembrance Sunday in their own way – attending socially distanced services without their squadron, laying a wreath on their own at a local memorial, observing the two minute silence on their own door step, or walking 11km for the Poppy Appeal.
It may have been different, but it was no less important and Norfolk & Suffolk Wing were proud to do their bit to support the efforts of the Royal British Legion and to honour all of those people who have paid the ultimate sacrifice whilst serving their country.
