In February, 120 cadets from 13 Squadrons across the Wing took part in the first face to face Wing sports event for nearly two years!
After such a long wait, the sun shone and it was fantastic to see so many cadets out supporting their squadrons, and encouraging their fellow competitors on the 3.5k and 5k courses.
Sqn Ldr Kevin Green Wing Sports Officer, who co-ordinated the event praised the cadets for attending and thanked all the staff who supported the running of the day, as well as Thetford Rugby Club for hosting.

Junior Boys
Joint 1st Place – 231 Norwich Sqn ATC & 432 (Woodbridge)
3rd place – 1109 Thetford Squadron Air Cadets
Youth Boys
1st Place – 301 Sqn, Air Training Corps
2nd Place – 2534 (Fakenham) Air Cadets
3rd Place – 231 (Norwich) Sqn
Senior Men (no team trophy so individual winners were)
1st Place – Wilson (2470 Sudbury Air Cadets)
2nd Place – Short 1986 (Wymondham) Sqn
3rd Place – Bradbury 864 (Watton) Sqn
Taking into account the finishing places for the top 3 finishers from each squadron the overall results were as follows;
1st Place – 222 (Broadlands) Sqn
2nd Place – 863 (Thurston) Sqn
3rd Place – 1249 Dereham Squadron ATC
