Last weekend cadets from 7 squadrons across Norfolk & Suffolk Wing took part in their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition.
The expedition saw 25 cadets complete this element of the training and was the first time that cadets from the Wing have been on an RAFAC activity since March 2020.
The weather was changeable but mainly dry and saw that cadets split into 5 groups navigate their way around the from Aylsham to Wroxham on Saturday and then onto Horning on the Sunday.
All cadets were successful in completing the expedition and this will now allow them to claim their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s award as this was the last section to complete.
Flt Lt Miller Wing DofE Officer commented “It was great to have cadets and staff back out on activity again after such a long time. The expedition had to be changed due to the current restrictions in place but this did not affect the cadets or staff at all. The completed the expedition unfazed by the current issues that surround us all and I am pleased to say they were all successful in completing the expedition and am pleased with this step back into face to face activity again”
