This Saturday 28th September saw the start of the 2019/20 season with the Inter Wing Swimming Championships at RAF Honington. Norfolk & Suffolk competed against, Trent, Beds & Cambs, South & East Midlands, Herts & Bucks and Warwickshire & Birmingham Wings in 28 races across 4 age classes.
We are delighted to announce that Norfolk & Suffolk successfully defended their overall swimming champions title with class wins in the Junior and Senior Boys competitions.
There were stand out performances across the team but special mentions to Helena Hall winning the Junior Girls Butterfly, Backstroke and Individual Medley breaking the Central & East records in all 3 races and a silver in the Medley Relay. Harvey Hall won the Senior Boys Breaststroke, Freestyle and Medley Relay with a second in the Individual Medley also breaking 2 Central & East Records. Michael Connick won the Junior Boys Backstroke, Freestyle, Individual Medley and the Medley Relay also breaking a Central & East Record. Other individual winning performances came from Emilia Barrett in the Senior Girls Breaststroke and Edward Holmes in the Senior Boys Backstroke.
