This weekend cadets and staff from 1986 Wymondham, 1070 Diss Squadron, 2534 (Fakenham), 1109 Thetford, 1249 Dereham, 864 Watton and 221 Great Yarmouth Sqns, enjoyed their time at Old Buckenham Airshow 2021.
Over the two days, the cadets and staff raised money for the squadrons by car parking, marshalling the classic cars and selling programmes. On top of raising fund, this was a great opportunity for the cadets to watch an amazing air display which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The event also gave Fg Off Officer Sully and Plt Off Brinkley the opportunity to meet and talk to Parliamentary Under Secretary of State Robert Courts MP who is responsible for Aviation. They discussed the Royal Air Force Air Cadets and the benefits that the organisation has on youngs people’s academic and personal development.
Officer Commanding of 1986 Wymondham Sqn, Flying Officer Paul Sully, said ‘I would like to thank all the cadets and staff for all their hard work this weekend. After a year of no events due to Covid-19, it was great to see cadets from a variety of sqns working and enjoying the airshow together’.
