On Saturday 2nd November over 140 staff and guests from all corners of the Wing gathered at Wensum Valley Golf, Hotel and Country Club in Taverham for this year’s annual Wing Guest Night.
Guests of honor for the evening were Central & East Regional Commandant Gp Capt Nigel Gorman, along with wife Samantha, and Wing President Air Cdre Jon Ford who, along with the other guests enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal whilst being entertained by the incredibly talented musicians of Dereham Band.
As well as an opportunity for friends and colleagues to get together, the Guest Night is a chance to reflect on the Wing’s achievements over the last year. It is also a chance to say thank you, not just to the dedicated Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers that work hard to deliver an exciting and varied programme to our cadets, but also the partners of our volunteers who are so supportive.
This year the Wing was dining out Sqn Ldr Graham Deere who is retiring from his RAFAC Commission. After many years volunteering with the Air Cadet Organisation, both as Commanding Officer of 2470 (Sudbury) Squadron, and later as the Wing First Aid Officer and Sector Commander, it is time for him to put his feet up!
